The Comfort Project

Do you know someone who could use a little extra care right now? We’re inviting nominations for individuals currently diagnosed with breast cancer or who are in active treatment. Nominees must live on the Mornington Peninsula, from Portsea through to Mount Eliza.

It’s a simple way to help bring comfort, community and compassion to someone walking a tough road.

Let’s wrap our community in care, one nomination at a time and to make sure no one walks this journey alone.

Nominate here

Through The Comfort Project, we currently gift 24 hampers each year to Mornington Peninsula locals who are in active breast cancer treatment, through nominations and monthly deliveries to all 5 local chemotherapy wards.

Your nomination must be someone who lives on the Mornington Peninsula and is currently in active Breast Cancer treatment.

If your loved one is eligible, we’ll be in contact to arrange a gifted hamper.

If your loved one lives outside the Peninsula, dealing with another form of cancer, or if we’ve reached our gifting limit for the financial year, you’re still very welcome to purchase a hamper via our online shop (coming soon). Every hamper sold helps fund the next one we give, so truly, the more we sell, the more we can gift.

Proudly supported by

While the Comfort Project was always at the heart of our vision, the generosity and belief of Community Bank Southern Peninsula accelerated its growth and enabled us to provide a higher level of care, sooner.

The Comfort Project now delivers carefully curated care hampers to all 5 chemotherapy wards on the Peninsula every month, providing both practical relief and emotional support. Each hamper contains gentle, soothing items chosen to ease common side effects and bring a sense of warmth into a clinical space.

With their continued support, we ensure care is consistent, meaningful and ongoing.

At its core, the Comfort Project is about connection. It’s a quiet reminder to each recipient that their community is standing with them, holding them through some of the hardest days.

We are deeply grateful for their belief in us, and for helping the Comfort Project grow faster and reach more people with care, compassion and heart.
